I need to repot my kitchen orchid, which just finished flowering. The challenges: I can't give it too much space around its roots, and they need a lot of drainage. I've been using the pot-in-a-pot method successfully, and I'm going to stick with it.
I also need to divide the plant, which I am not sure how to do. I am hoping the individual bulbs will be obvious when I've got the plant out of the dirt.
Repotting & dividing orchids is a risky operation -- it might kill the plant. On the other hand, it's getting over-crowded and doesn't seem very healthy because of it.
